Mrs Broomfield's Brooch

This cute little wooden pin badge is our nod to the past and our tribute to Mrs Emily Broomfield. Mrs Broomfield ran The Gem sweetshop and tobacconist at 18 School Road where Shine is now located.   

In 1917, Mrs Broomfield lost her brooch. You can read more about her story here. In collaboration with local student Joe Rafiq, we recreated a modern version of the brooch to celebrate Shine's first birthday on School Road.  

This pin badge measures 3cm x 2.7cm and is a collaboration between Shine and Joe Rafiq Design. We hope you love it!
